A SOCIAL, FUN WEEKEND WITH PLENTY OF OPPORTUNITIES TO PADDLE, SHARE IDEAS AND LEARN, ON AND OFF THE WATER

Grand opportunities to take part in practical and theoretical sea kayak training; Meet local and international paddlers and join in the fun & activities

WHO IS IT FOR: Paddlers of all skill levels will get something from the event – regardless of whether you are a novice / beginner or an advanced paddler that has done some epic paddles!

Highlights:

Friday Night: Registration starts at 5:30PM. Join us for dinner and listen to three talented paddling artists (a sculptor, a painter and a creative photographer) as they share their paddles, marine life and ocean through their eyes.

Saturday: We have numerous sessions on and off the water all day Saturday. The evening will have excellent speakers including Tara Mulvany and Jason Beachcroft as well as AGM and dinner.

Sunday is for getting wet and having fun or attend some land based skill clinics on weather / navigation or doing nothing and relaxing in the beach.

We will also have three international coaches including BCU 5* instructor Ginny Callahan, ACA Level 5 Instructor Trainer Educator and Tsunami ranger Deb Volturno as well as our own BCU 5* instructor, John Kirk-Anderson. Ginny will be covering some advanced skills such as ‘Core Power in Forward Strokes’, ‘Fun with Edging’ and ‘Tighter Turns’ and Deb will be doing couple of scenario based sessions on water, ‘Debacle Deterrent, Chaos Control’ and kayak surfing & rolling.

Sunday night campout: We end the weekend with a fully catered campout at Dacre Cottage – a 90 minute paddle with the tide. Register now!
